Bringing Together Communities, For A Connected Future
Himalayan Hub
A learning centre to work with youth from Himalayan Communities, the Himalayan Hub is our starting point to create an ecosystem of change. The main campus of the Himalayan Hub is located in Theog, Himachal Pradesh at a junction of popular travel routes, while the Eastern Outreach is based out of Tezpur, Assam.
With fellowships and grants, Royal Enfield supports youth from the Western to the Eastern Himalayas in conservation and filmmaking through a partnership with Green Hub. Projects span across disciplines and media, including the Himalayan Fellowship for Creative Practitioners, in collaboration with Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA), which explores the intersection of art and sustainability.
Experience the power of collective action for change at the Himalayan Hub

Green Pit Stops
Royal Enfield’s Green Pit Stops are community-run facilities planned across popular traveller routes, offering tourist amenities like sanitation, tourist information, basic first aid, and curated local culinary and cultural experiences for travellers to explore. These pit stops are designed sustainably, using local material and architecture and also act as a showcase and marketplace for local handicrafts, art and culture.
Camp Kharu in Ladakh is Royal Enfield’s first milestone Green Pit Stop, with the second community-run Green Pit Stop set to open in Babeli, Himachal Pradesh.
Refuel, refresh and reconnect with the soul of the Himalayas with women-run pit stops on iconic ride routes, built by the community, for the community.

Himalayan Knot
The Himalayan Knot is Royal Enfield’s textile conservation project, bringing together artisanal Himalayan communities, urban designers, creative practitioners, social organisations and the rider community – all knotted together by a common thread of a Himalayan story, crafstmanship and human creativity.
The first set of the Himalayan Knot capsule collections, purpose-made for the Royal Enfield rider, presents Royal Enfield x EKA x Looms of Ladakh (Ladakh sheep wool), Royal Enfield x Countrymade x The Action Northeast Trust (Bodo weaves), and Royal Enfield x Sonam Dubal x The Action Northeast Trust (Eri silk).
Join this celebration of artisanal craftsmanship from our spiritual home

The Great Himalayan Exploration
UNESCO defines the Intangible Cultural Heritage of a country as practices, representations, expressions, knowledge, and skills that communities, groups and individuals, recognise as part of their cultural heritage.
This partnership project with UNESCO aims to document the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Himalayas through rider-researchers. Presently, 100 ICH practices have been identified across the Eastern and another 100 in the Western Himalayas. With the first and second edition of the ride, 60+ practices have been covered in the Eastern Himalayan states and 12 in Ladakh.
Discover the living heritage of Himalayan communities. Uncover age-old wisdom for a more balanced future.

Winter Sports
Winter Sports emerges as a promising avenue to build resilience and pride, and generate livelihood opportunities – particularly for the youth.
The game plan is to elevate the Indian National Ice Hockey Team to participate at the Olympics 2042 and transform Ladakh into a premier winter sports destination. Royal Enfield developed 'The Gamechanger: Blueprint for the Development of Ice Hockey in Ladakh' – a pioneering document charting a roadmap for Ladakhi players to take the sport from backyards to the international sporting stage. In 2023, the first-ever season of the Royal Enfield Ice Hockey League was held in Leh.
Celebrate the Himalayan spirit of camaraderie and resilience with Winter Sports

Keystone Species
Royal Enfield's Keystone Species focuses on the conservation of iconic wildlife species from the Himalayas, including the Snow Leopard, Himalayan Brown Bear and Golden Langur.
By promoting coexistence through human-wildlife harmony and nature-linked livelihoods, it transforms communities into guardians of a shared home.
Building an ecosystem of harmonious living for all those who call the Himalayas their home
Helmets for India
An artists’ collective focusing on changing mindsets towards helmet safety in India, Helmets for India transforms helmets into a canvas for self expression, blending art with advocacy to promote road safety.
This initiative unites the motorcycling community, using creativity to inspire helmet usage and responsible riding. By turning safety gear into a medium of expression, we celebrate the spirit of creativity and community, encouraging a cultural shift towards safer roads.

OUR STORY
Royal Enfield’s Social Mission in the Himalayas
Royal Enfield has always called out the Himalayas as its ‘Spiritual
Home’. The exploratory spirit of motorcyclists has led them to
traverse the challenging yet rewarding terrain of the region for
decades. The Himalayan region is also a mecca for tourists from
across the world — the pristine natural beauty, diverse and
welcoming communities, and the rich natural and cultural heritage
offers the ideal setting for adventures and memorable experiences.
The Eicher Group Foundation, as part of Royal Enfield’s CSR mandate,
has been working in the Himalayan region for the last few years.
Different communities and partners have been supported by Royal
Enfield as a part of its social mission to work holistically towards
the protection, regeneration, and resilience of ecosystems in the
iconic Himalayan landscape, and engage with communities to build
resilience and adapt to the climatic and socio-economic changes that
are taking place.
